| The reward at the end of the road for diligently taking the time to mind your own business
CHAPTER FIVE
Lesson Four:The History of and The Power of Corporation
I remember in school being told the story of Robin Hood and his Merry MenMy schoolteacher thought it was a wonderful story of a romantic hero, a Kevin Costner type, who robbed from the rich and gave to the poorMy rich dad did not see Robin Hood as a heroHe called Robin Hood a crook
Robin Hood may be long gone, but his followers live onHow often I still hear people say, "Why don't the rich pay for it?" Or "The rich should pay more in taxes and give it to the poor
It is this idea of Robin Hood, or taking from the rich to give to the poor that has caused the most pain for the poor and the middle classThe reason the middle class is so heavily taxed is because of the Robin Hood idealThe real reality is that the rich are not taxedIt's the middle class who pays for the kelly hermes bags poor, especially the educated upper-income middle class
Again, to understand fully how things happen, we need to look at the historical perspectiveWe need to look at the history of taxesAlthough my highly educated dad was an expert on the history of education, my rich dad fashioned himself as an expert on the history of taxes
Rich dad explained to Mike and me that in England and America originally, there were no taxesOccasionally there were temporary taxes levied in order to pay for warsThe king or the president would put the word out and ask everyone to "chip in Taxes were levied in Britain for the fight against Napoleon from 1799 to 1816, and in America taxes were levied to pay for the Civil War from 1861 to 1865
In 1874, England made income tax a permanent levy on its citizensIn 1913, an income tax became permanent in the United States with the adoption of the 16th Amendment to the ConstitutionAt one time, Americans were cartier pasha watch anti-taxIt had been the excessive tax on tea that led to the famous Tea Party in Boston Harbor, an incident that helped ignite the Revolutionary WarIt took approximately 50 years in both England and '?the United States to sell the idea of a regular income tax;
What these historical dates fail to reveal is that both of these taxes were initially levied against only the richIt was this point that rich dad wanted Mike and me to understandHe explained that the idea of taxes was made popular, and accepted by the majority, by telling the poor and the middle class that taxes were created only to punish the richThis is how the masses voted for the law, and it became constitutionally legalAlthough it was intended to punish the rich, in reality it wound up punishing the very people who voted for it, the poor and middle class
"Once government got a taste of money, the appetite grew," said rich dad"Your dad and I are exactly oppositeHe's a cc chanel logo earrings government bureaucrat, and I am a capitalistWe get paid, and our success is measured on opposite behaviorsHe gets paid to spend money and hire peopleThe more he spends and the more people he hires, the larger his organization becomesIn the government, the larger his organization, the more he is respected On the other hand, within my organization, the fewer people I hire and the less money I spend, the more I am respected by my investorsThat's why I don't like government peopleThey have different objectives from most business peopleAs the government grows, more and more tax dollars will be needed to support it
My educated dad sincerely believed that government should help
peopleKennedy and especially the idea of the Peace CorpsHe loved the idea so much that both he and my mom worked for the Peace Corps training volunteers to go to Malaysia, Thailand and the PhilippinesHe always strived for additional grants and increases in his gucci paolo watches budget so he could hire more people, both in his job with the Education Department and in the Peace Corps
From the time I was about 10 years old, I would hear from my rich dad that government workers were a pack of lazy thieves, and from my poor dad I would hear how the rich were greedy crooks who should be made to pay more taxesBoth sides have valid pointsIt was difficult to go to work for one of the biggest capitalists in town and come home to a father who was a prominent government leaderIt was not easy knowing who to believe
Yet, when you study the history of taxes, an interesting perspective emergesAs I said, the passage of taxes was only possible because the masses believed in the Robin Hood theory of economics, which was to take from the rich and give to everyone elseThe problem was that the government's appetite for money was so great that taxes soon needed to be levied on the middle class, and from there it kept "trickling chanel quilted handbag dow |

|
As they went along, they talked less and less; the
path sloped relentlessly upward, and they needed their
breath just for breathingThe only sound was the light pat-pat of their footstepsLina and Doon took turns
carrying Poppy on their backs--she had gotten tired of
walking very soon and cried to be picked upTwice,
they stopped and sat down to rest, leaning against the
walls of the passage and taking drinks from Doon's
bottle of water
251
"How many hours do you think we've been
walking?" Lina asked
"I don't know," Doon saidWe must be nearly there
They climbed on and onTheir first candles had
long ago burned down to the last inch, as had their
second balenciaga london candlesFinally, when their third ones were
about halfway gone, Lina began to notice that the air
smelled differentThe cold, sharp-edged rock smell of
the tunnel was changing to something softer, a strange,
lovely smellAs they rounded a corner, a gust of this
soft air swept past them, and their candles went out
Doon said, Til find a match," but Lina said, "No,
wait Look
They were not in complete darknessA faint haze
of light shone in the passage ahead of them"It's the
lights of the city," breathed Lina
Lina set Poppy down"Quick, Poppy," she said,
and Poppy began to trot, keeping close at Lina's heels
The strange, lovely smell in the air grew strongerThe
passage came to an end a chanel earrings stud few yards farther along, and
before them was an opening like a great empty doorway
Without a word, Lina and Doon took hold of each
other's hands, and Lina took hold of Poppy'sWhen
they stood in the doorway and looked out, they saw no
new city at all, but something infinitely stranger: a land
vast and spacious beyond any of their dreams, filled
with air that seemed to move, and lit by a shining
252
silver circle hanging in an immense black sky
In front of their feet, the ground swept away in a
long, gentle slopeIt was not bare stone, as in Ember;
something soft covered it, like silvery hair, as high as
their kneesDown the slope was a tumble of dark,
rounded shapes, dolce gabbana handbags and then another slope rose beyond
thatWay off into the distance, as far as they could see,
the land lay in rolling swells, with clumps of shadow in
the low places between them
"Doon!" cried Lina"More lights!" She pointed at
the sky
He looked up and saw them--hundreds and hundreds
of tiny flecks of light, strewn like spilled salt
across the blacknessThere was
nothing else to sayThe beauty of these lights made his
breath stop in his throat
They took a few steps forwardDoon bent to feel
the strands that grew out of the ground, almost higher
than Poppy's head; they were cool and smooth and
soft, and there was dampness on them
"Breathe," said LinaShe opened her mouth black chanel tote and
took in a long breath of air
"It's sweet," he said
They held their hands out to feel the long stems as
they waded slowly through themThe air moved
against their faces and in their hair
"Hear those sounds?" said DoonA high, thin
chirruping sound came from somewhere nearbyIt
253
was repeated over and over, like a question"What could it be?"
"Something alive, I thinkMaybe some kind of
bug
"A bug that singsHer face
was shadowy in the silver light"It's so strange here,
Doon, and so hugeIt feels like a dreamMaybe that's why it feels familiarI
might have dreamed about this place
They walked until they came to where the dark
shapes billowed up from the prada logo ground |

| He picked the bits of shell and goo off
114
the sole of his boot and thought, I'm sorryI didn't mean to hurt you
In the days that followed, Doon went farther and farther into the Pipeworks, holding on to the hope that he might find something not only interesting but importantBut what he found didn't seem importan at allOnce he came upon an old pair of pliers that
someone had dropped and left behindTwice he found a coinHe discovered a supply closet that appeared to have been completely forgotten, but all it held were some boxes of plugs and washers and a rusty box containing shriveled bits of what must once have been someone's lunch
He found another supply closet at the far south
end of the Pipeworks--at least, he assumed that's what
it wasIt was at the end of a tunnel with a rope strung
across it; a sign hanging from the rope said, "Caved In
No Entry" Doon entered anyway, ducking under the
ropeHe found no sign of a louis vuitton miroir cave-in, but there were
no lightsHe groped his way forward for twenty steps
or so, and there the tunnel ended in a securely locked
door--he couldn't see it, but he felt itHe retraced
his steps, ducked back under the rope again, and
walked onA short distance away, he found a hatch in
the ceiling of the tunnel--a square wooden panel that
must lead, he thought, up into the storeroomsIf he'd
had something to stand on, he could have reached it
and tried to open it, but it was about a foot above his
115
upstretched handProbably it was locked anyhowHe
wondered if the Builders had used openings like this
one during the construction of the city to get more
easily from one place to another
On days when his job was near the main tunnel,
he sometimes walked along the river after he'd finished
workingHe stayed away from the east end, where the
generator was; he didn't want to think about the generator
Instead, he went chloe paddington handbag the other way, toward the place
where the river rushed out of the PipeworksThe path
grew less level at this end, and less smoothThe river
here was bordered with clumps of wrinkled rock that
seemed to grow out of the ground like fungusDoon
liked to sit on these clumps, running his fingers along
the strange creases and crevices that must have been
carved somehow by running or dripping waterIn
some places there were grooves that looked almost like
writing
But as for things of importance, Doon found
noneIt seemed that the Pipeworks was no use after all
to a person who wanted to save the cityThe generator
was hopelessHe would never understand electricity
He used to think he could use electricity to invent a
movable light, if he studied hard enoughHe took
apart light bulbs; he took apart the electric outlets on
the wall to see how the wires inside wound together
and, in the process, got a painful, vibrating jolt omega de ville men's watches all
through his bodyBut when he tried to wind wires
116
of his own together in exactly the same way, nothing
happenedIt was what came through the wires that
made the light, he finally understood, and he had no
idea what that was
Now he could see only two courses of action: he
could give up and do nothing, or he could start to
work on a different kind of movable light
Doon didn't want to give upSo on his day off one
Thursday, he went to the Ember Library to look up fire
The library occupied an entire building on one
side of Bilbollio SquareIts door was at the end of a
short passage in the middle of the buildingDoon
went down the passage, pushed open the door, and
walked inNo one was there except for the librarian,
ancient Edward Pocket, who sat behind his desk writing
something with a tiny pencil clutched in his
gnarled handThe library had two big rooms, one for
fiction, which was stories people made up out of classic chanel handbag their
imaginations, and the other for fact, which was information
about the real worldThe walls of both rooms
were lined with shelves, and on most of the shelves
were hundreds of packets of pagesEach packet was
held together with stout loops of stringThe packets
leaned against each other at angles and lay in untidy
stacksSome were thick, and some were so slim that
only a clip was needed to hold them togetherThe
pages of the oldest packets were yellowed and warped,
and their edges were uneven rows of ripples
117
These were the books of Ember, written over the
years by its citizensThey contained in their dose
written pages much that was imagined and everything
that was known
Edward Pocket looked up and nodded briefly at
Doon, one of his most frequent visitorsHe went into the fact room, to the section of
shelves labeled "F The books were arranged by subject,
but even so, it wasn't easy to find what gold gucci watches you

| He spoke Dharma to the dog, telling him, 'You know, the Four Elements are really sufferingPut it down; don't get angry' After Shariputra spoke Dharma, the dog didn't yelp anymore, and he died in peace, passing away peacefullySince at the moment of his death he didn't give rise to anger, he was reborn again as a person and left the home life at seven years of age under ShariputraShariputra spoke the Dharma to him, at which point he certified to Arhatship
So you see, this person was once a novice, then he became a dog, and then he became a person againWhen he was a dog, he still retained the good roots from his past lives, and that's why he could understand human speechSince he died happily, in his next life he became a left-home person againAfter that, he never took the full Bhikshu precepts; he wanted to stay a novice forever so he could serve his teacher Shariputra, to repay his kindness (Master Hui Seng, Brahma Net Sutra)
PARABLE 0123: RETROGRESSION / NON-RETROGRESSION
In one of his previous incarnations, Sariputra, a senior disciple of the Buddha, was practicing the Perfection of Charity"One day a demon appeared to him and, wishing to put him to the test and if possible contrive his downfall, asked him for his right handIn large gucci bag reply, Shariputra cut it off and gave it to the demonBut the demon was angry and refused to accept it, complaining that Shariputra had impolitely offered it to him with his left! At this point, it is said that Shariputra lost hope of ever being able to satisfy the
desires of beings, and turned from the Mahayana to pursue the path to Arhatship
Shantideva: 197
Note: "None of the sentient beings who are born in the Land of Ultimate Bliss ever fall back into a lower realmMany among them have only one more lifetime to go before BuddhahoodTheir number is incalculable: they can be spoken of as innumerable (The Amitabha Sutra)
PARABLE 0124: ROTTEN APPLE
Consider the example, adapted from the sutras, of worms feeding on rotten applesThe worms are "running" hither and thither among the apples, each worm "elbowing" the others for a better spot, a larger piece of the rotten matterThey all feel their actions necessary and desirableThey all seem very busy and very happyTo us humans, however, theirs is indeed a pitiable lot
The human condition is the same from the viewpoint of celestials, Bodhisattvas and Buddhas -- such a pitiful sight indeed, whether of beggars or presidential hopefuls!

PARABLE 0125: PURE LAND (SECRETS OF REBIRTH montre cartier IN SUKHAVATI)
"A laywoman once approached a well-known Elder Master and asked: 'I have recited the Buddha's name for some time now, but have not seen any sign of progressCan you explain to me why this is so?' The Master said, 'Reciting the Buddha's name is not difficult; the difficulty lies in (1) perseverancePerhaps you have not recited regularly and in a persevering manner' The laywoman replied, 'You are entirely rightI am usually interrupted in my recitation and have not been persevering, because of family obligationsFrom now on, I will put aside all distractions and vow to keep reciting exactly as taught' Some time later, she returned and asked, 'Since receiving your instructions last time, I have put aside all external distractions and recited the Buddha's name regularly, every dayWhy is it that I still do not see any results?' The abbot replied, 'Reciting the Buddha's name is not difficult; the difficulty lies in perseverancePersevering is not difficult; the difficulty lies in (2) being singlemindedAlthough, on the
surface, you may have put all distractions aside, in your mind you still worry about possessions and property and are still attached to children and familyYou have neither discarded worry nor eliminated the root of quilted white bag love-attachmentHow can you achieve one-pointedness of mind and see Amitabha Buddha?' Hearing this, the woman sighed aloud 'That is so true, Master! Although I have seemingly abandoned all distractions, my mind is still preoccupied with themFrom now on, I vow to disregard everything and recite the Buddha's name singlemindedly' Thereupon she went home and, from that time on, each time her children or anyone else sought her advice or confided in her, she would invariably reply, 'I want peace of mind, and do not wish to be bothered by anything' For this reason, everyone referred to her as 'the woman who is above all worry and care' A few years later, she went to bow to the abbot at his temple, saying, 'Thanks to your advice and teaching, I have now achieved one-pointedness of mind and have seen Amitabha BuddhaI have come to pay my respects and take leave of you, Abbot, because I will soon be reborn in the Pure Land'
The laywoman in our story achieved liberation because she was enlightened to two principles: perseverance and singlemindednessThus, to be successful, the Pure Land practitioner should consider everything, from personal possessions and property to family and friends, to be illusory and phantom-like, coming together prada clutch temporarily and then disintegratingIf we care about family and friends, we should ensure our own rebirth and liberation and then rescue themThis is true affection!
Therefore, to recite the Buddha's name effectively, we should not only ignore one hundred distractions, we should discard all distractions, be they one thousand or tens of thousands!"

PARABLE 0126: PURE LAND (STORY OF REBIRTH IN SUKAVATI)
"The laywoman DH was the wife of a certain man in the city of Yangchow (China)As she could not bear children, her husband took a concubine, which made it difficult for her to remain in the conjugal homeTherefore, she went to live with her stepmother, another lay Buddhist, who loved her as her own daughterThey supported and relied on one another, and two years passed as though they were but one day
DH was a vegetarian who earnestly practiced Buddha Recitation day and nightShe and her stepmother realized that they had scant merits and few good conditions in this life, and no one else to rely on in case of need, as their relatives were dead or far awayThey therefore wholeheartedly helped one another, as Dharma friends along the WayFrom the point of view of faith and daily cultivation, DH far surpassed that of the average prada logo Budd |

|
| Because I do not want to fix toilets either, I figured out how to buy more real estate and expedite my getting out of the rat raceThe people who continue to say "I don't want to fix toilets" often deny themselves the use of this powerful investment vehicleToilets are more important than their freedom
In the stock market, I often hear people say, "I don't want to lose money Well, what makes them think I or anyone else likes losing money? They don't make money because they chose to not lose moneyInstead of analyzing, they close their minds to another powerful investment vehicle, the stock market
In December 1996,1 was riding with a friend past our neighborhood gas stationHe looked up and saw that the price of oil was going upMy friend is a worry wart or a "Chicken Little To him, the miu miu clutch sky is always going to fall, and it usually does, on him
When we got home, he showed me all the stats as to why the price of oil was going to go up over the next few yearsStatistics I had never seen before, even though I already owned a substantial share block of an existing oil companyWith that information, I immediately began looking for and found a new undervalued oil company that was about to find some oil depositsMy broker was excited about this new company, and I bought 15,000 shares for 65 cents per share
In February 1997, this same friend and I drove by the same gas station, and sure enough, the price per gallon had gone up nearly 15 percentAgain, the "Chicken Little" worried and complained I smiled because in January 1997, that little oil company hit oil and those 15,000 hermes vintage shares went up to more than $3 per share since he had first given me the tipAnd the price of gas will continue to go up if what my friend says is true
Instead of analyzing, their little chicken closes their mindIf most people understood how a "stop" worked in stock-market investing, there would be more people -investing to win instead of investing not to loseA "stop" is simply a computer command that sells your stock automatically if the price begins to drop, helping to minimize your losses and maximize some gainsIt's a great tool for those who are terrified of losing
So whenever I hear people focusing on their "I don't wants," rather than what they do want, I know the "noise" in their head must be loudChicken Little has taken over their brain and is yelling, "The sky is falling and chanel pearl necklace toilets are breaking So they avoid their "don't wants," but they pay a huge priceThey may never get what they want in life
Rich dad gave me a way of looking at Chicken Little "Just do what Colonel Sanders did At the age of 66, he lost his business and began to live on his Social Security checkHe went around, the country selling his recipe for fried chickenHe was turned down 1,009 times before someone said "yes And he went on to become a
multimillionaire at an age when most people are quitting "He was a brave and tenacious man," rich dad said of Harlan Sanders
So when you're in doubt and feeling a little afraid, just do what ColSanders did to his little chickenBusy people are often the most lazyWe have all heard stories of a businessman who works hard to earn moneyHe works hard to be a chanel earrings stud good provider for his wife and childrenHe spends long hours at the office and brings work home on weekendsOne day he comes home to an empty houseHis wife has left with the kidsHe knew he and his wife had problems, but rather than work to make the relationship strong, he stayed busy at workDismayed, his performance at work slips and he loses his job
Today, I often meet people who are too busy to take care of their wealthAnd there are people too busy to take care of their healthThe cause is the sameThey're busy, and they stay busy as a way of avoiding something they do not want to faceNobody has to tell themIn fact, if you remind them, they often respond with anger or irritation
If they aren't busy at work or with the kids, they're often busy watching TV, fishing, playing golf or white chanel watch ceramic shopp |

Disappointed, Mike and I sat in silence for about twenty minutes before we began cleaning up our messThe business was over on opening daySweeping the powder up, I looked at Mike and said, "I guess Jimmy and his friends are right
My father was just leaving as I said that"You're only poor if you give upThe most important thing is that you did somethingMost people only talk and dream of getting richYou've done somethingI'm very proud of the two of you
Mike and I stood there balenciaga motorcycle handbag in silenceThey were nice words, but we still did not know what to do
"So how come you're not rich, dad?" I asked
"Because I chose to be a schoolteacherSchoolteachers really don't think about being richWe just like to teachI wish I could help you, but I really don't know how to make money
Mike and I turned and continued our clean up
"I know," said my dad"If you boys want to learn how to be rich, don't ask meTalk to your dad, Mike
"My dad?" asked Mike with a scrunched up face
"Yeah, your dad," repeated my dad with a smile"Your dad and I have the same banker, and chanel pearls he raves about your fatherHe's told me several times that your father is brilliant when it comes to making money
"My dad?" Mike asked again in disbelief"Then how come we don't have a nice car and a nice house like the rich kids at school?"
"A nice car and a nice house does not necessarily mean you're rich or you know how to make money," my dad replied"Jimmy's dad works for the sugar plantationHe's not much different from meHe works for a company, and I work for the governmentThe company buys the car for himThe sugar company is in financial trouble, and Jimmy's classic chanel quilted bag dad may soon have nothingYour dad is different MikeHe seems to be building an empire, and I suspect in a few years he will be a very rich man
With that, Mike and I got excited againWith new vigor, we began cleaning up the mess caused by our now defunct first businessAs we were cleaning, we made plans on how and when to talk to Mike's dadThe problem was that Mike's dad worked long hours and often did not come home until lateHis father owned warehouses, a construction company, a chain of stores, and three restaurantsIt was the restaurants that kept him out omega speedmaster replica late
Mike caught the bus home after we had finished cleaning upHe was going to talk to his dad when he got home that night and ask him if he would teach us how to become richMike promised to call as soon as he had talked to his dad, even if it was late
The phone rang at 8:30 p And put the phone downMike's dad had agreed to meet with Mike and me
At 7:30 Saturday morning, I caught the bus to the poor side of town
The Lessons Begin:
"I'll pay you 10 cents an hour"
Even by 1956 pay standards, 10 cents an hour was low
Michael and I met with his dad that morning at 8 men's omega watch o'cloc |

"And then walking slowly--"
"Because he was carrying a load!"
"And walking quickly on the way out because he'd

heart was drumming and her hands were cold"We
have to think what to do," she said"If this were an
ordinary situation, the mayor would be the one to tell
"But the mayor is the one committing the black gucci bag crime,"
said Doon
"So then we should tell the guards, I guess," said
Lina"They're next in authority to the mayorThough
I don't like them much," she added, remembering how
she'd been so roughly hustled down the stairs from the
roof of the Gathering Hall"Especially the chief
guard
"But you're right," Doon said"We should tell the
guardsThey'll go down into the Pipeworks and see for
themselves that we're telling the truthThen they can
arrest the mayor and have all the stuff put back in the

shook his headI think maybe omega constellation price those
Instructions are just hogwash
"Hogwash? What's that?"
"It means nonsenseI read it in a book in the

"But they can't be nonsense! Why would they have

But Doon didn't want to think about the

Lina ran back to Gam Square, passing a group of
Believers on the wayThey were standing in a circle,
holding hands, singing one of their cheerful songsIt
seemed to Lina there were more Believers than ever
these daysWhat they believed in she didn't know,
but it must make them happy--they were always
smiling
Her next customer turned out to be MrsPolster,
the teacher of the fourth-year classPolster's
class, they memorized passages from The Book of the
City of Ember every weekPolster had charts on
the walls for everything, with everyone's name listedIf
you did something right, she made a green dot by your
nameIf you did something wrong, she made a red
dot"What you need to learn, children," she rolex submariner 50th anniversary always
said, in her resonant, precise voice, "is the difference
between right and wrong in every area of lifeAnd
once you learn the difference--" Here she would stop
and point to the class, and the class would finish the
sentence: "You must always choose the right In every
situation, MrsPolster knew what the right choice wasPolster again, looming over
Lina and pronouncing her message"To Annisette
Lafrond, 39 Humm Street, as follows," she said"My
confidence in you has been seriously diminished since
I heard about the disreputable activities in which you
engaged on Thursday last
It took Lina three tries to get this right"Uh-oh, a
29
red dot for me," she saidPolster did not seem to
find this amusing
Lina had nineteen vintage cartier watch customers that first morning
Some of them had ordinary messages: "I can't come on
Tuesday "Buy a pound of potatoes on your way
home "Please come and fix my front door Others
had messages that made no sense to her at all, like MrsBut it didn't matterThe wonderful part
about being a messenger was not the messages but the
places she got to goShe could go into the houses of
people she didn't know and hidden alleyways and little
rooms in the backs of storesIn just a few hours, she
discovered all kinds of strange and interesting thingsSample, the mender, had to
sleep on her couch because her entire bedroom, almost
up to the ceiling, was crammed with clothes to be
mendedFelinia Tower had the skeleton of a
person hanging tiffany cross against her living room wall, its
bones all held in place with black strings"I study it," she said when she saw Lina staring"I have to know
how people are put together At a house on Calloo
Street, Lina delivered a message to a worried-looking
man whose living room was completely dark"I'm saving
on light bulbs," the man saidAnd when Lina took
a message to the Can Cafe, she learned that on certain
days the back room was used as a meeting place for
people who liked to converse about Great Subjects
"Do you think an Invisible Being is watching over us
30
all the time?" she heard someone ask"Perhaps,"
answered someone elseThere was a long silence"And
then again, perhaps not
All of it was interestingShe loved finding cambon chanel things
out, and she loved runningAnd even by the end of the
day, she wasn't tiredRunning made her feel strong and
big-hearted, it made her love the places she ran
through and the people whose messages she delivered
She wished she could bring all of them the good news
they so desperately wanted to hear
Late in the afternoon, a young man came up to
her, walking with a sort of sideways lurchHe was an
odd-looking person--he had a very long neck with a
bump in the middle and teeth so big they looked as if
they were trying to escape from his mouthHis black,
bushy hair stuck out from his head in untidy tufts"I
have a message for the mayor, at the Gathering Hall,"
he saidHe paused to let the importance of this chanel purses and handbags be
understood |
