| and then the sound of
an impact, a short, explosive breath, and a muttered
word in a gruff, low voice
Then slow footsteps, getting closer
They flattened themselves against the wall and
stood motionlessThe footsteps stopped briefly, and
there was another gruntThen the steps continued, but
seemed to be fadingIn a moment, from a distance,
there was another sound: the chink of a key turning in
a lock, and the click of a latch opening
Lina made an astonished face at DoonSomeone had gone down the roped tunnel and opened the door!
She put her mouth close to Doon's ear"Shall we try to
see who it is?" she whispered
Doon shook his head"I don't think we should,"
he said
"We could replica fendi spy bag just peek around the corner
It was too tempting not to tryThey crept forward
to the place where the tunnel turnedFrom there they
could see the entrance to the roped tunnelHolding
their breath, they watched
And in a minute, they heard a thump and click-- the door closing, the lock turning--and footsteps once
again, this time quickA long leg stepped over the
rope, and the person it belonged to turned and walked
awayAll they saw was his back--a dark coat, dark
129
untidy hairHe walked with a lurching motion that
struck Lina as somehow familiarIn a few seconds, he
had vanished into the shadows
When they came up out of the Pipeworks, they
stripped off their boots fendi spy replica and slickers and hurried out
into Plummer Square, where they flopped down on a
bench and burst into furious talk
"Someone got there before us!" said Lina
Doon said, "He was walking slowly when he went
in--as if he was looking for somethingAnd he walked
fast when he came out
"As if he'd found something! What was it? I can't
stand not to know!"
Doon jumped upHe paced back and forth in
front of the bench
"But how did he get the key?" he asked"Did he
find Instructions like the ones you found? And how
did he get into the Pipeworks? I don't think he works
there
"There's something familiar about the way he
walks," said Lina"But I don't know why
"Well, anyhow, he opened spy bag replica that door and we can't,"
said Doon"If it does go somewhere, if it does lead out
of Ember, he'll be telling the whole city pretty soon"If he's found
the way out, we'll be glad, of course," he said glumly"It
doesn't matter who finds it, as long as it helps the city
130
"That's right," Lina said
"It's just that I thought we were going to find it,"
said Doon
"Yes," Lina said, thinking how grand it would have
been to stand before all of Ember, announcing their
discovery
They sat without talking for a while, lost in their
own thoughtsA man pulling a cart full of wood scraps
went byA woman leaned from a lighted window on
Gappery Street and called out to some boys white ceramic chanel watch playing in
the square belowA couple of guards, in their red and
brown uniforms, ambled across the square, laughing
The town clock rang out six deep booms that Lina
could feel, like shudders, beneath her ribs
Doon said, "I guess what we do now is wait to see
if there's an announcement
"I guess so," said Lina
"Maybe that door is nothing special after all," said
Doon"Maybe it's just an old unused supply closet
But Lina wasn't ready to believe thatMaybe it
wasn't the door out of Ember, but it was a mystery
nevertheless--a mystery connected, she was sure, to
the bigger mystery they were trying to solve

THE CITY of EMBER
* "Thanks to full-blooded characters every bit as compelling
as the plot, Lina and Doon's search parallels the universal
adolescent quest for answers --Publishers Weekly, Starred
* "Well-paced, this contains a satisfying mystery, a
breathtaking escape over rooftops in darkness, a harrowing
journey into the unknown, and cryptic messages for readers

life in the city intriguingly detailedThe likable protagonists
are not only courageous but also believably flawed by human

"Rather than bogging down in explanations of how Ember

such disarming forthrightness that readers will be eagerly

Doon reached INTO the bag and took out the last

in his hand
"Go on," said the mayor
Unfolding the paper, Doon read: "Messenger He

Lina quilted chanel bags gasped; the whole class rustled in surprise
The mayor took a short breath and blinked
furiously"Disgraceful," he said, glaring at Doon
"A childish display of temper! Students should be glad to work for their cityEmber will prosper if all
"But Ember is not prospering!" Doon cried"Everything is getting worse and worse!"
"Silence!" cried the mayor
"The blackouts!" cried Doon"The lights go out

of everything! If no one does anything about it, something
terrible is going to happen!"
Lina listened with a pounding heartCould things

| He read on rapidly, filling in
scene after scene from her scrappy fragments"Dined at the House of

passed--he took another volume from the writing table--he had become more
and more absorbed in his workAnd she, of course, was more often
aloneIt had been a great grief to her, apparently, that they had
had no children"How I wish," one entry read, "that Gilbert had a son!"
Oddly enough he had never much regretted that himselfLife had been so

now that he will be Prime Minister!" Well, if things had gone
differently, it might have been soHe paused here to speculate upon
what might have beenPolitics was a gamble, he reflected; but the game
wasn't over yetHe cast his eyes rapidly over more pages,
full of the little trifles, the insignificant, happy, daily trifles that
had made up her life
He took up another volume and opened it at random"What a coward I am!
I let the chance slip againBut it seemed selfish to bother him with my
own affairs, when he has so much to think aboutAnd we so louis vuitton diaper bags seldom have

explanation--it referred to her work in the East End"I plucked up
courage and talked to Gilbert at lastHe was so kind, so goodHe made
no objection He remembered that conversationShe had told him that
she felt so idle, so uselessShe wished to have some work of her own
She wanted to do something--she had blushed so prettily, he remembered,
as she said it, sitting in that very chair--to help othersHe had

was it? Some bolsas louis district? Some committee? Only she must promise not to make

she had taken it very seriously, it seemedThe diary was full of

| They have simply not learned the science of making money
Money is only an idea If you want more money simply change your thinkingEvery self-made person started small with an idea, then turned it into something bigThe same applies with investingIt takes only a few dollars to start and grow it into something bigI meet so many people who spend their lives chasing the big deal, or trying to mass a lot of money to get into a big deal, but to me that is foolishToo often I have seen unsophisticated investors put their large nest egg into one deal and lose most of it rapidlyThey may have been good workers but they were not good investors
Education and wisdom about money are important I turned $5,000 cash into a $1 million dollar asset sac dolce gabana producing $5,000 a month cash flow in less than six yearsBut I started learning as a kidI encourage you to learn because it's not that hardIn fact, it's kind of easy once you get the hang of it
I think I have made my message clearIt's what is in your head that determines what is in your handsMoney is only an ideaThere is a great book called Think and Grow RichThe title is not Work Hard and Grow RichLearn to have money work hard for you and your life will be easier and happierToday, don't play it safe, play it smart
Take Action!
Many of you were given two great gifts: your mind and your timeIt is up to you to do what you please with bothWith each dollar bill that enters your hand, you and only you have the power to classic chanel handbag determine your destinySpend it foolishly, you choose to be poor Spend it on liabilities, you join the middle classInvest it in your mind and learn how to acquire assets and you will be choosing wealth as your goal and your futureThe choice is yours and only yours Every day with every dollar, you decide to be rich, poor or middle class
Choose to share this knowledge with your children, and you choose to prepare them for the world that awaits
You and your children's future will be determined by choices you make today, not tomorrow
We wish you great wealth and much happiness with this fabulous gift called life

|
| I get an "A" for recognizing the wordsI get an "F" for comprehensionAnd so it is with financial statements for most people
"If you want to be rich, you've got to read and understand numbers If I heard that once, I heard it a thousand times from my rich dadAnd I also heard, "The rich acquire assets and the poor and middle class acquire liabilities
Here is how to tell the difference between an asset and a liabilityMost accountants and financial professionals do net agree with the definitions, but these simple drawings were the start of strong financial foundations for two young boys
To teach pre?teen boys, rich dad kept everything simple, using as many pictures as possible, as few words as possible, and no numbers for years
"This is the Cash Flow pattern of an asset
The above box is an Income gucci taske Statement, often called a Profit and Loss StatementIt measures income and expensesMoney in and money outThe bottom diagram is the Balance SheetIt is called that because it is
supposed to balance assets against liabilitiesMany financial novices don't know the relationship between the Income Statement and the Balance SheetThat relationship is vital to understand
The primary cause of financial struggle is simply not knowing the difference between an asset and a liabilityThe cause of the confusion is found in the definition of the two wordsIf you want a lesson in confusion, simply look up the words "asset" and "liability" in the dictionary
Now it may make sense to trained accountants, but to the average person, it may as well be written in MandarinYou read the words in the definition, but true comprehension is chloe paddington bags difficult
So as I said earlier, my rich dad simply told two young boys that "assets put money in your pocket Nice, simple and usable
"This is Cash Flow pattern of a liability
Now that assets and liabilities have been defined through pictures, it may be easier to understand my definitions in words
An asset is something that puts money in my pocket
A liability is something that takes money out of my pocket
This is really all you need to knowIf you want to be rich, simply spend your life buying assetsIf you want to be poor or middle class, spend your life buying liabilitiesIt's not knowing the difference that causes most of the financial struggle in the real world
Illiteracy, both in words and numbers, is the foundation of financial struggleIf people are having difficulties financially, there is something that balenciaga handbags motorcycle they cannot read, either in numbers or wordsSomething is misunderstoodThe rich are rich because they are more literate in different areas than people who struggle financially So if you want to be rich and maintain your wealth, it's important to be financially literate, in words as well as numbers
The arrows in the diagrams represent the flow of cash, or "cash flow Numbers alone really mean littleJust as words alone mean littleIt's the story that countsIn financial reporting, reading numbers is looking for the plot, the storyThe story of where the cash is flowingIn 80 percent of most families, the financial story is a story of working hard in an effort to get ahead Not because they don't make moneyBut because they spend their lives buying liabilities instead of assets
For instance, this is the cash flow chanel bags to buy pattern of a poor person, or a young person still at home:
Job (provides income)-> Expenses(Taxes Food Rent Clothes Fun Transportation)
Asset (none)
Liability (none)
This is the cash flow pattern of a person in the middle class:
Job (provides income)-> Expenses(Taxes Food Mortgage Clothes Fun Transportation)
Asset (none)
Liability (Mortgage Consumer loans Credit Cards)
This is the cash flow pattern of a wealthy person:
Assets(stocks bonds notes real estate intellectual property)->income (dividends interest rental income royalties)
Liabilities (none)
All of these diagrams were obviously oversimplifiedEveryone has living expenses, the need for food, shelter and clothing
The diagrams show the flow of cash through a poor, middle class or wealthy person's lifeIt is the cash flow that tells the chanel cc necklace sto |

"They heard him talking about it when he died,"
she said to Lina
"They heard who talking?"
"My grandfather
"And what did they hear him say?"
"Ah," said her grandmother with a faraway look
"That's the mysteryHe said he couldn't get at it'Now
it is lost,' he said
"But what was it?"
"He didn't sayIt didn't matter anywayProbably the
lost thing was the old man's left sock, or his hairbrush
But for some reason, the story had taken root in
Granny's mind
The next morning on her way to work, Lina
stopped in at the house of their neighbor, Evaleen
MurdoMurdo was brisk in her manner, and in
her person thin and straight as a nail, but she was kind
56
in her unsmiling wayUntil a few years ago, she'd run
a shop that sold paper and pencilsBut when paper
and pencils became scarce, her shop closedNow she
spent her days new cartier watches sitting by her upstairs window, watching
people in the street with her sharp eyesMurdo about her grandmother's forgetfulness
"Will you look in on her sometimes and make sure
things are all right?" she asked
"I will, certainly," said MrsMurdo, nodding twice,
firmlyLina went away feeling better
That day Lina was given a message by Arbin Swinn,
who ran the Callay Street Vegetable Market, to be
delivered to Lina's friend Clary, the greenhouse
managerLina was glad to carry this message, though
her gladness was mixed a little with sadnessHer father
had worked in the greenhousesIt still felt strange not
to see him there
The five greenhouses produced all of Ember's
fresh foodThey were out past Greengate Square, at
the farthest edge of the cityNothing else was out there
but the trash heaps, great moldering, stinking hills that
stood omega usa on rocky ground and were lit by a few floodlights
high up on poles
It used to be that no one went to the trash heaps
but the trash collectors, who dumped the trash and
left itNow and then a couple of children might go
there to play, scrambling up the side of the heaps and
57
tumbling downLina and Lizzie used to go when
they were youngerThey'd pull out the occasional
treasure--some empty cans, maybe an old hat or a
cracked plateNow there were
guards posted at the trash heaps to make sure no one
poked aroundJust recently, an official job called trash
sifter had been createdEvery day a team of people
methodically sorted through the trash heaps in search
of anything that might be at all usefulThey'd come
back with broken chair legs that could be used for
repairing window frames, bent nails that could
become hooks for cambon chanel clothes, even filthy rags, stiff with
dirt, that could be washed out and used to patch holes
in window blinds or mattress coversLina hadn't
thought about it before, but now she wondered about
the trash siftersWere they there because Ember really
was running out of everything?
Beyond the trash heaps there was nothing at all-- that is, only the vast Unknown Regions, where the
darkness was absolute
From the end of Diggery Street, Lina could see the
long, low greenhousesThey looked like big tin cans
that had been cut in half and laid on their sidesHer
breath came a little fasterThe greenhouses were a
home to her, in a way
She knew that she was most likely to find Clary
somewhere around Greenhouse 1, where the office
was, so that was where she headed firstA small tool

shed stood beside the door to Greenhouse 1; hermes wallet Lina
peeked into it but saw only rakes and shovelsSo she
opened the greenhouse doorWarm, furry-smelling
}i air washed over her, and all her love for this place
; came rushing backOut of habit, she gazed up toward
the ceiling, as if she might see her father there on
his ladder, tinkering with the sprinkler system, the
temperature gauges, and the lights
The greenhouse light was whiter than the yellowish
light of the Ember streetlampsIt came from long % tubes that ran the length of the ceilingIn this light, the
leaves of the plants shone so green they almost hurt
Lina's eyesOn the days when she'd come here with her

Once, while travelling, he stopped for the night at an innThe innkeeper was a thief [who] just sat in his inn and waited for rich guests to come byHe would give them a fine room, a strong dose of drugged wine, and then, in the middle of the nighte would sneak into their rooms to rob them and sometimes even murder themThe man who recited the great Compassion Dharani believed in the Buddha, however, and so he didn't drink the winet about one o'clock in the morning, he heard someone slowly open the door and sneak into his roomOpening his eyes just a crack, he saw the glint of a butcher's shiny blade flash in the moonlight'Someone means to kill me,' he thought, paralyzed with fearAt that very moment, there was a knock on the doorThe would-be murderer quickly put the blade behind his back and went to the door'Who is it?' he whispered'My name is Dou Shu Peng,' came the replyPeeking through the keyhole, the innkeeper saw a large man dressed in a policeman's uniform'What do you want?' he asked nervously'I have come to visit my friend who is staying in this roomWon't you please prada logos tell him to stop by my house tomorrow morning for breakfast?' 'Yes, I'll do that,' said the innkeeper and the policeman left
The innkeeper decided he had best do no murdering that nightThe next morning the innkeeper told the guest, 'A friend of yours named Dou Shu Peng was by last nightHe came to invite you to his house for breakfast'said the guest, and then he remembered that in the Great Compassion Mantra, there is a line 'Dou Shu Peng'Yes!' he exclaimed, 'I do have such a friendI was just on my way to meet him'"

PARABLE 052: FLEXIBILITY IN CULTIVATION (DEDICATION OF MERIT)
"A novice once told the author that in his dreams, from time to time he would see some thirty to forty persons armed with knives and spears coming at him, striking and slashing him all overIn his daily practice, he deville watch would diligently recite mantras, alternating between the Great Compassion Dharani and the Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara Mantra, without success, as each time he recited either mantra a few times, he would develop a headache which lasted the whole dayHe sought medical treatment to relieve these symptoms, to no availKnowing that his karma was heavy, the novice vowed to bow to the three thousand Buddhas in repentanceHowever, when he entered the main Buddha hall, he saw a huge, tall, fierce-looking man, who approached him and pushed him to the floor, preventing him from bowingFor this reason, he came to see the author, weeping in anguish, and asked, 'the sutras teach repentance and cultivation to extinguish bad karma, but if you are prevented from repenting and cultivating, what else are you expected to do?' This author pondered for a momentHe reflected that the novice must have committed a heavy 'killing' karma, and been responsible for many deaths in past livesMoreover, he knew that the Great Compassion Dharani and the Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara Mantra had a powerful, bolsas prada beneficial effect, while vowing to bow to the three thousand Buddhas was an all-encompassing, lofty resolutionIn this case, however, the novice had made the mistake of just praying and thinking of himself alone, forgetting those whom he had wronged in past lifetimesMoreover, he was not being flexible in cultivationThis is not unlike a debilitated person suffering a heavy bout of influenzaHe should take a mild analgesic, to recover little by little; instead, he begins to ingest a powerful antibioticThis, of course, provokes a strong reaction which overwhelms himTherefore, the author advised the novice to bow each night while reciting the short repentance liturgy, and then kneel to recite the rebirth mantra twenty-one timesAfter that, he should repeat the Buddha's name some five hundred times, seeking repentance, and transfer the merit to all whom he had wronged in previous existences, so that they, too, could swiftly escape the cycle of Birth and DeathHe should continue this regimen for some time, and, if nothing untoward occurred, gradually increase the number of omega automatic seamaster recitationsThe novice followed the author's advice and as expected, his predicament was in time resolved

PARABLE 053: SKILL-IN-MEANS (FOREST SPIRITS)
"In the Kusanjali Jataka, the future Buddha dwelt as a clump of kusa grass near a beautiful wishing tree (Mukkhaka) with a strong trunk and spreading branchesThe spirit of this tree had once been a mighty queenThe grass was an intimate friend of this noble treeNearby, the palace of King Brahmadatta in Benares had only one main pillar, which had become shakyThe king sent his carpenters to find wood with which to replace the pillar, and they came upon the wishing treeThey resisted cutting it down, and yet could find no alternativeWhen they told the king of their troubles, he told them to cut the wishing tree to make his roof secureThe carpenters went and made a sacrifice to the tree, asking for its forgiveness and announcing that they would return the next day to execute their deadly deedThe tree burst into tears, and the various spirits of the forest came to console her, yet none could think of a way to thwart the cartier tank must carpen |

rapped the table
"That is the very point we are met to consider," she said"For five
years we have been trying to find out whether we are justified in
continuing the human raceCastalia has anticipated our decisionBut it
remains for the rest of us to make up our minds
Here one after another of our messengers rose and delivered their
reportsThe marvels of civilisation far exceeded our expectations, and,
as we learnt for the first time how man flies in the air, talks across
space, penetrates to the heart of an atom, and embraces the universe in
his speculations, a murmur of admiration burst from our lips
"We are proud," we cried, "that our mothers sacrificed their youth in
such a cause as this!" Castalia, who had been listening intently, looked
prouder than all the restThen Jane reminded us that we had still much
to learn, and Castalia begged us to make hasteOn we went through a vast
tangle of statisticsWe learnt that England has a population of so many
millions, and that such and cartier santos de cartier such a proportion of them is constantly
hungry and in prison; that the average size of a working man's family is
such, and that so great a percentage of women die from maladies incident
to childbirthReports were read of visits to factories, shops, slums,
and dockyardsDescriptions were given of the Stock Exchange, of a
gigantic house of business in the City, and of a Government OfficeThe
British Colonies were now discussed, and some account was given of our
rule in India, Africa and IrelandI was sitting by Castalia and I
noticed her uneasiness
"We shall never come to any conclusion at all at this rate," she said
"As it appears that civilisation is so much more complex than we had any
notion, would it not be better to confine ourselves to our original
enquiry? We agreed that it was the object of life to produce good people
and good booksAll this time we have been talking of aeroplanes,
factories, and moneyLet us talk about men themselves and their arts,
for that is the heart of the borse louis vuitton matter
So the diners out stepped forward with long slips of paper containing
answers to their questionsThese had been framed after much
considerationA good man, we had agreed, must at any rate be honest,
passionate, and unworldlyBut whether or not a particular man possessed
those qualities could only be discovered by asking questions, often
beginning at a remote distance from the centreIs Kensington a nice
place to live in? Where is your son being educated--and your daughter? Now
please tell me, what do you pay for your cigars? By the way, is Sir
Joseph a baronet or only a knight? Often it seemed that we learnt more
from trivial questions of this kind than from more direct ones"I
accepted my peerage," said Lord Bunkum, "because my wife wished it I
forget how many titles were accepted for the same reason"Working
fifteen hours out of the twenty-four, as I do--" ten thousand
professional men began
"No, no, of course you can neither read nor writeBut why do you work so
hard?" "My dear lady, 18k omega watch with a growing family--" "But why does your family
grow?" Their wives wished that too, or perhaps it was the British Empire
But more significant than the answers were the refusals to answerVery
few would reply at all to questions about morality and religion, and such
answers as were given were not seriousQuestions as to the value of
money and power were almost invariably brushed aside, or pressed at
extreme risk to the asker"I'm sure," said Jill, "that if Sir Harley
Tightboots hadn't been carving the mutton when I asked him about the
capitalist system he would have cut my throatThe only reason why we
escaped with our lives over and over again is that men are at once so
hungry and so chivalrousThey despise us too much to mind what we say
"Of course they despise us," said Eleanor"At the same time how do you
account for this--I made enquiries among the artistsNow, no woman has
ever been an artist, has she, Polls?"
"Jane--Austen--Charlotte--Bronte--George--Eliot," cried Poll, like a chanel watches man
crying muffins in a back street
"Damn the woman!" someone exclaimed"What a bore she is!"
"Since Sappho there has been no female of first rate--" Eleanor began,
quoting from a weekly newspaper
"It's now well known that Sappho was the somewhat lewd invention of
Professor Hobkin," Ruth interrupted
"Anyhow, there is no reason to suppose that any woman ever has been able
to write or ever will be able to write," Eleanor continued"And yet,
whenever I go among authors they never cease to talk to me about their
booksMasterly! I say, or Shakespeare himself! (for one must say
something) and I assure you, they believe me
"That proves nothing," said JaneOnly," she sighed, "it
doesn't seem to help us muchPerhaps we had better examine modern
literature next
Elizabeth rose and said that in order to prosecute her enquiry she had
dressed as a man and been taken for a reviewer
"I have read new books pretty steadily for the past five years," said
sheWells is the most popular living writer; then chanel black wallet come |

A few days ago, my car was not running well I pulled into a garage, and the young mechanic had it fixed in just a few minutesHe knew what was wrong by simply listening to the engine
The sad truth is, great talent is not enough
I am constantly shocked at how little talented people earnI heard the other day that less than 5 percent of Americans earn more than $100,000 a yearI have met brilliant, highly educated people who earn less than $20,000 a yearA business consultant who specializes in the medical trade was telling me how many doctors, dentists and chiropractors struggle financiallyAll this time, I thought that when they graduated, the dollars would pour inIt was this business consultant who gave me the phrase, "They are one skill away from great wealth
What this phrase means is that most people need mulberry bayswater bag only to learn and master one more skill and their income would jump exponentiallyI have mentioned before that financial intelligence is a synergy of accounting, investing, marketing and lawCombine those four technical skills and making money with money is easierWhen it comes to money, the only skill most people know is to work hard
The classic example of a synergy of skills was that young writer for the newspaperIf she diligently learned the skills of sales and marketing, her income would jump dramaticallyIf I were her, I would take some courses in advertising copywriting as well as salesThen, instead of working at the newspaper, I would seek a job at an advertising agencyEven if it were a cut in pay, she would learn how to communicate in "short cuts" that are used in successful advertisingShe also would spend louis vuitton purses time learning public relations, an important skillShe would learn how to get millions in free publicityThen, at night and on weekends, she could be writing her great novelWhen it was finished, she would be better able to sell her bookThen, in a short while, she could be a "best-selling author
When I first came out with my first book If You Want To Be Rich and Happy, Don't Go to School? a publisher suggested I change the tide to The Economics of EducationI told the publisher that with a title like that, I would sell two books: one to my family and one to my best friendThe problem is, they would expect it for freeThe obnoxious title If You Want To Be Rich and Happy, Don't Go to School? was chosen because we knew it would get tons of publicityI am pro-education and believe in education reform Otherwise, why would chanel handbag 2.55 I continue to press for changing our antiquated educational system? So I chose a title that would get me on more TV and radio shows, simply because I was willing to be controversialMany people thought I was a fruitcake, but the book sold and sold
When I graduated from the UMerchant Marine Academy in 1969, my educated dad was happyStandard Oil of California had hired me for its oil-tanker fleetI was a third mate, and the pay was low compared with my classmates, but it was OK for a first real job after collegeMy starting pay was about $42,000 a year, including overtime, and I only had , to work for seven monthsI had five months of vacationIf I had wanted to, I could have taken the run to Vietnam with a subsidiary shipping company, and easily doubled my pay instead of taking the five J months' vacation
I had a prada fairy bag great career ahead of me, yet I resigned after six months with the company and joined the Marine Corps to learn how to flyMy educated dad was devastatedRich dad congratulated me
In school and in the workplace, the popular opinion is the idea of "specialization That is, in order to make more money or get promoted, you need to "specialize That is why medical doctors immediately begin to seek a specialty such as orthopedics or pediatricsThe same is true for accountants, architects, lawyers, pilots and others
My educated dad believed in the same dogmaThat is why he was thrilled when he eventually achieved his doctorateHe often admitted ??that schools reward people who study more and more about less and less
Rich dad encouraged me to do exactly the opposite "You want to ' know a little about a lot" was his chloe bag suggest |
